Freebie: Warmonger – 42

Hello, it’s another freebie I share with you as an overdue X-mas present 🙂 Free for download from Soundcloud.

Yep, it’s an unsuccessful attempt at creating melodic and orchestral uplifting trance. Quite a misadventure in terms of composition as I relied too much upon Orb Composer.

Still, it’s a solid production, so maybe sometone with an ear for unusual tunes will find it interesting.

Also, it’s the first and only production where I tried to use Tone2 Rayblaster 2 – an unique synth based on impulse modeling engine, with a very distinct and pleasant sound.

Hello, it’s time for another giveaway!

“Jihad” is a dark and heavy trancer at 140 BPM, featuring authentic arabian instruments. Especially the flute is a star of the show.

I decided to give it away as no label has shown interest in it over last 2 years ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Apparently labels these days are not into dark tunes in general.

Freebie: Warmonger – Excursion

I decided to give away this piece from last year:

An attempt at banging tech track, drawing from multiple styles – from dubstep and electro to even psy. Also features my signature uplifting lead.

Even though I put a lot of time and effort in this track, the result is less than a sum of its parts. Probably it comes from me not listening to my own adivce: If you have five great ideas, make five separate tracks. Putting too much content in a single piece makes it one hell of a mess.

I believe many people are going to enjoy this track nonetheless, but labels appear not interested. Well, better luck next time ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Make Noise 0-Coast Wavetable Pack for Serum

What can one do with this semi-modular contraption? Nah, not the music. Sample the hell out of it!

This new wavetable pack explores a variety of controls and timbres 0-Coast has to offer. Some of them are simple knob sweeps of high quality, others feature aperiodic and overall bizarre shapes and sets. These are simple .wav files, so should work in other synths and programs, but were made using Serum. Enjoy!

John Fisherman – Mirage Remix

Another track. In fact the only one finished this year. It’s pretty ususual both for me and for progressive genre as a whole. How did it come to live? Well, it ticks many boxes:

• Sometime this year I felt strong in mix / mastering, and wanted to try if I can make quality sounds out of anything.
• I’ve got Live 10 and wanted to test drive it, using mostly (if not only) sounds it provides.
• There was a remix contest hosted by Exia Recordings, who were looking for heavy genres: deep / progressive house, psy and techno among others.
• I need quality stuff for showcase, that covers many different styles.

Let’s do this again

To make any career in music business, I need a portfolio of great quality tracks in first place. Unfortunatelly, as it usually works, the old and poor ones end up on Soundcloud and the new ones can’t find their way through labels for months. So, need to fix that.

This is a rework of 2016 remix contest entry. The original was pure gold and the competition level was terrible overall, so I had to do it justice. Now you can enjoy this gem in top quality!

New freebie: My Little Room

“My Little Room” was originally made some years ago as a counterpart to Bliss. It’s the odd one, though, and I can’t even think of many labels that could be potentially interested in it. So I give it away for free. Luckily it already gathered great opinions from listeners, now you can enjoy it too! 🙂
