So – yes. I own Advance 49 keyboard with VIP preset browser for a year and a half now. Why I didn’t write about it earlier? Well, because goddamn thing didn’t want to work.

Sunrise In Brisbane Remix Contest

Well, where to start. Sould Waves Music announced a remix contest for Nordic Coast – Sunrise In Brisbane track. They received a “huge number” of remixes, but… didn’t like any. No winners, no awards, nothing – everybody go home.

4K in a DAW

I’ve been looking forward to get 4K monitor to use it with DAW and recently made it. I would like now to discuss the benefits and observations in a form of short guide, as seemingly many people are still confused about these.

Andy Groove – Impellent (Remix)

So here it is! My latest track prepared for contest. It’s a straightforward but huge uplifter at 138 BPM.

I really enjoyed original material I got and used pretty much all MIDI from remix pack, including bassline. Didn’t add too much of content or unsual ideas, the melody is strong enough to hold on its own. It was all about sound design, layering and modulation, then mixdown. It was great to see how this tune is coming from “just typical trance” to “oustanding” just over a day. It all was made just in a 6 days, had a week off.
